car lift

hi

has anybody used/got 1 of them scissors lift that you put under car to raise it. are they safe???

Not got one myself but my mate is looking at purchasing one. There was a company at Newark autojumble earlier this month demonstrating their hydraulic scissor lift which has a lifting capacity of up to 3 tonnes! It looked to be of sturdy construction. I can get the details of the company from my mate if you are interested? I think cost wise it was about £1300.
