spotted - madman towing red bull seven
Irony - 15/5/14 at 06:41 AM

On the way home from work yesterday between Gainsborough and Newark. A white tranny van towing a Red bull branded seven. I think it was a gbs zero. The car wasn't strapped down properly and it rolled forward over a foot under acceleration and rolled back and jerked against the straps under braking. I flashed the driver and honked but he accelerated away well beyond my top speed of 57mph in my little daily driver. He was doing 50 in a 30 whilst towing at one point. I expected to see the car in a ditch any minute.

I'm sure I've seen a Red Bull GBS in the classifieds somewhere.

It was on Facebook yesterday about 1.30 that Gbs where taking their cars to blyton for testing. Had pictures of a red bull one and a stainless and orange one. Red bull one had a black roll cage.

It always amuses me when you see vehicles being driven be idiots with their company logo on the side..... Not going to give a good impression to potential customers is it....

Very nice car, was on there stand at Stoneleigh

If the guy had been pulled into a VOSA station (as they seem so fond of doing to me), I'm sure he'd get a very precise lecture on how to secure a car to a trailer.

Lovely looking car though, would be a real shame to have it potentially destroyed off-track towing.

The tranny probably handled better than the Zero

fesycresy - 15/5/14 at 04:10 PM

Sorry couldn't resist

Surely if you can afford a Brian James twin axle trailer you can afford a 50 quid set of proper tie down straps???

snapper - 15/5/14 at 08:12 PM

Zero's are fine
It's just your prejudice showing
I drive a Robin Hood monocoque from 1997, bet my balls are bigger than yours?
Sorry couldn't resist it

fesycresy - 16/5/14 at 06:36 AM

I bow to your superior ball size.

But my fishing rod is bigger, hang on, got one on the line.....
