Focus ECU removal??

Trying to get the ECU out of my Focus...any tips. Looks like it just slides out of a plastic mount but has sort of tamper proof bolt holding the wires/plug in.

Any advice greatly recieved.

There is a 10mm bolt that holds the plug into the ecu there may also be a metal cover thats is rivetted over the top of the plug.

drill the two rivetts out and lift the the top half of. You will now see two 10mm bolts holding the base of this steel cover and a plastic cover with weather seal. With all this of the ecu will now slide out the lower clip.

well thats how it is on the mondeo any way.

cut a slot in the sheer bolt and put some mole grips on a screw driver and undo it with the ecu laying out of the plastic carrier(slide it down )then slide the metal cage off to get acess to the 10mm bolt for the wiring plug.simples
