I got RAC cover with recovery, about £30 with Tesco vouchers.
They do not ask what car, but just cover the person.
I have called them out before and seem OK.

AA for me, RAC took too long ever time i called them.
no probs with AA for last two years, cost about £90 for me and the missus to be covered for full recovery to home etc

I'm with greenflag they were the cheapest for recovery home from anywhere in the country.
Hope they carry on with my service as you say they don't cover kits anymore.
Did you ask if they cover Cateringvans? thats what i said mine was like and they then sorted my cover out.

Don't know if you're considering any trackdays, but the AA booklet states that although motorsports events are not normally covered,
trackdays for road legal vehicles are ok. Not sure what the policy of other agents is on this.
Might be testing this out tomorrow as it'll be getting some hammer around the GP circuit at Silverstone.......

Don't forget, they only cover breakdowns, not accidents...
