Finally got the kart out!!
After selling my indy i bought my next toy. Due to bad weather and me not getting my ar*e into gear i havent took it out untill this weekend (8 months
in total).
Lucky for me there was a photographer there so i have pics to show me in action.
Problem is due to the high corner speeds i damaged my ribs and they hurt like hell!!  Worth the pain though!!

nice pics, and kart by the looks of it...
i used to race, and tried lots of things to stop my ribs hurting, i found the best way was just to work on your ab muscels..
i think you can by rib protectors, not 100% sure though...

Looks fun... must try and get a go in a decent two-stroke! Similarly, i've only tried pro-karts and rentals more times then a care to
remember...
Done your ARKS or can you race them on on ARDS?

Matt,
Glad to see you finally got out ! 
RibTec do a rib protector. You may need to look at the size of the seat. If the seat is too big you move around and that causes the rib problem.
I can't see what seat your running from the photo's. 1/4 padded is best as it gives some protection to the ribs but also allows you to
sink right back into the seat.
Do some miles and the fitness will come.
How was the neck?

When I was a teenager I had a 100cc fixed drive two stroke screamer (Formula A I think) and then a bit later I had a 210cc Villiers 2 stroke with
sequential gearbox, clutch and all round disk brakes. Both were lots of fun and wickedly fast, especially the 210. I used to just blast around a local
airfield, sideways most of the time. It's a cool way to spend an afternoon!
I must say, I am tempted to sell my Locost now it is road legal and buy a couple of karts for my son and I. He's only 11 years old just now but
has had a go at indoor karting and is certainly not scared!! A bit of a nutter in the making I think - just like his Dad...

had a 125 gearbox kart and it was great made you feel like a F1 driver even ran it at santapod. (low 13 sec with wrong gearing)
sadly many tracks not gearbox kart friendly and i ended up selling due to not using it, would love a run in a 250 gearbox kart they must be just plain
mental

Nephews got a 250 ,just testing at the moment racing later in the year.

i used to love my max...
started getting expensive thou...
at around 300 squids a month to do an endurance series plus regular rebuilds that could only be done by an authorised dealer as the motor had to be
sealed...
but it was awesome fun....even got to meet mr hamilton when he was a nipper....
if we had a decent kart track down here i would get another....
just because you are a character, doesnt mean you have character....
for all your bespoke parts, ali welding, waterjet, laser, folding, turning, milling, composite work, spraying, anodising and cad drawing....
