A grand day out.
Spent a few hours yesterday giving a Mr Rotor a ahnd to finish off a couple of jobs with the new version of the JT7
It may look like a car I have posted previously, but this car is 100mm longer for one or two reasons involving fuel tanks, packaging etc.
Anyway, here it is outside the workshop minus the rear bodywork just before going into the trailer.

And here it is today at the hairpin at Knockhill.
It's just fantastic to see something that was an idea inside someones head finally coming to the track. I'd love to say I had much to do
with either the design or build, but I'll be honest and say that I sometimes made the tea / went for the chips or very occasionally Graham the
builder would bounce an idea off me to which I would invariably add, "err yes, I think so."
 
Hairpin
It has actually run previously, but I wasn't fortunate enough to be there and see it.
Best of all today was to see it passing stuff into the corners under braking and having them up the straights too.
That's quite good for a thing built in a little workshop with some basic tools. 
P.S. It's not the chassis I posted pictures of a few weeks ago.

Look pretty good, look forward to reading more about it. As said above, looks like the rollcage wouldnt protect the driver as well as it could if it
was a little bit higher....

Thanks for the comments lads.
The seat was only a temporary one and the driver has already commented on how it has raised him higher than he would like, that will definitely be
sorted very soon.
I should add that the roll bar was very specifically built to suit this driver.
Countless hours were spent ensuring that this end result complies with the regs, so it's not that height for any other reason than it absolutely
complies.
I'm very confident that some time spent on the seat will ensure this.
Regarding the bodywork, it predates the Reynard by several years. 
Other than that, it's a double skinned spaceframe with aero section wishbones and inboard pushrod operated coilovers. Hewland gearbox as
well.
As it runs to sports 2000 regs, it must use a Pinto on a twin choke cars. Not famous for making huge amounts of power, but they're all pretty
much on a par power wise.
We did a bit of timing today and having just checked where it is compared to some of the other quick stuff out there, it's very pleasing.
Snetterton beckons in a few weeks so it should be quite busy in the meantime.
I'll do my best to make sure he's there.
