Project Thunderbolt V8 MX5

After I watched all the Binky episodes Project Thunderbolt was a recommended watch on uTube.

Basically a dude with tons of money jamming a LS V8 into an MX5...

Just amazes me how everything custom required is off the shelf!!

If you like big V8s you'll like this...

A quick look through the Summit catalogue...

Engine $7,325.99
Serpentine kit $909..99
Bell housing $350 ish..
Gearbox $2.450
Ali propshaft $400

Money no object there..

I've had some V8 parts for my Rover engine from them and even with the customs and shipping cams followers and timing set where cheaper than here...

Funny bad obsession link in episode 11

I live 30 mins from summit racing :-)

As for money no object, Not really! Many people here in the USA have no problem taking out loans to fund their cars and car projects. It's something I Personally don't understand as I'm cheap but it's just the way people do it here and it seems to work as there are a lot of very nice cars here.
