MX5 Automatic Transplant

I have a notion to upgrade the wifes Marlin Roadster over the winter, currently running a Series B 1.8 TC.

My goal was to put a fuel injected engine with an Auto box on it for lazy Sunday Drives.

Has anybody on here got experience with this gearbox and its ECU? Or attempted a transplant of this type?

Currently putting an mx5 auto 1.6 into a small car for someone. Gearbox is wide (chassis mods needed) and engine is low compression - perfect for the later supercharger project

Apart from that it's just engine mounts, gearbox mounts, minor exhaust mod and electrics if you're lucky like I was.

Thanks for the reply, I,managed to get a sketch of the dimensions and agree it's too wide.

Still looking at options but all the boxes I have looked at are too wide
