Knockhill 23rd May trackday

Anyone interested in a Knockhill trackday? Monday 23rd May, full day, open pitlane. I've got three cars interested now, and I'm trying to get six or more, to see if I can get a bit of group discount.

Full price is £170, hopefully with a group get it down around £150?

They're very well run days, well worth it i.m.o. ..and Knockhill is a cracking little circuit.

Just had a look at the last one we did. They knocked off £15 for six cars.. could you stretch to £155

Couple more interested parties would be good.

I've emailed the circuit and they've come back with a deal for ten cars. 10% off, which I think is £153. (it's £170 in advance and £190 on the day, so it's something..)

I would say we're hovering around six or seven at the moment. So come on chaps, a full day's open pitlane at Scotland's premier Motor racing circuit, for £153.
It's 105db, but I don't think they suffer from noise issues like some other circuits. I've never been noise tested and I've heard some pretty loud cars there in the past.

I think ten cars is going to be difficult, but if we don't try, we don't get eh.

So far I have

1) Me.. def
2) Steve L.. def
3) Col M ..def
4)Scootz ..possible
5)Prisoner..interested
6)Hodor ..maybe

Convert a few if's and maybes to defininites, and we're looking for another four cars?

I'll convert you to a def then..

Not sure what happens if we don't get ten names.. presume it'll be up to individuals to decide whether they want to pay full whack or not.

2) Steve L.. def
3) Col M ..def
4)Scootz ..def
5)Prisoner..interested

Yes I'm interested. My car is purely road going. Are there any mods to be made?

I'll add you to the list Alan.

A road going car is fine for trackdays. You'll obviously need a crash helmet, although I believe these are available to hire at the circuit if you need one.

2) Steve L.. def

Any more?

No worries, got a crash helmet. Is there a minimum age for driving on the track? My lad would like to do it too.

He'd have to have passed his driving test, as they ask for a driving licence when you sign on. (17+) Be aware though, that Knockhill do charge a hefty amount for second drivers.. £85

Details and a few FAQs on the Knockhill website here:

Shame I'm offshore on that date..... If you decide to do this in the future again and it works into my rota, I'd definitely be up for it.

Was thinking about doing one later in the year. Either July 29th or Aug 29th. August one is reverse direction.. not sure if I fancy that or not..

Just to keep it real, I'm about 20% likely to do it. I have a hell of a lot of fettling to do and can only see the cash going towards a rolling road session or something. But never say never, but thought I'd let you know.
