RWD ST170 Conversion ...Clutch Question

Fitting a ST170 engine mated to a Type 9 gearbox in our RWD Tiger Avon. Am I correct in thinking the clutch is a standard Pinto one?
Thanks
Ian

You can use the pinto clutch if you have a 220mm (1.6/1.8) flywheel that’s been redrilled to take the 215mm pinto clutch. Or have a custom/Billet flywheel that is drilled already for the pinto clutch.

Or you can use the standard Zetec clutch with a 1” 23 spline drive and the cct133 thrust bearing to make up the reach.

If I may add...
I have been using a LUK pinto clutch with mine for 6 years. Never an issue.
I have heard (not first hand) that the 1800 zetec clutch is prone to slip at higher power/torques. Trouble is, you just don't know if that is because somebody has used a cheap clutch or it is a problem with the actual clutch design.
