F27 transit ball joints?!

Afternoon,

currently changing the bottom ball joints on my F27.

I purchased a new set of transit ball joints M18 X 1.5 and they are too small... I have now seen they also offer an M20 X 1.5.

Wondering if anyone knows if they are the right ones or if they are imperial as the OD of the thread is 19.7mm?

the ones that have some off the car are both right hand, the set i got supposedly marked as F27 ball joints (i now know from the newer models) one is right hand - one is left hand.

any help would be appreciated,

Not sure about your F27, but I had same thing with my Hornet, I bought M18 ones only to find they were too small. Bought the M20 ones and they were spot on for mine.

Well.. These needed a 30mm spanner to get them loose.... Duno if they were a standard nut though!

Orange car was registered 1997, I think M20

Yellow car was registered 2003, I think m18

Let me know what yours are,

The Transit DRAG link ends are 18 x 1.5 and the transit TRACK rod ends are 20 x 1.5 mm for the early transits. They often get mixed up.
