sj4000 action cam

I have been looking at the sj4000 action cams and there seem to be copies of these too.
Are any off them any good worth considering over the genuine item.
I believe some are rebranded genuine items but it seems like a bit of a minefield.
Any advise or links to ones people recommend or have experience of would be great.

I have a go pro and a copied sj4000. Just as good as each other.

They use exactly the same mounts. The only thing the copy sj4000 doesn't have is sound, but I use the go pro for that anyway

My SJ4000's (I have 3) all have sound....maybe they're a newer version than yours Ben?

I highly rate the Sj4000, but for anyone buying one, just try and make sure it has SJ CAM on the camera, I bought two before I got I finally found the genuine ones.

Yes people copy a copy of a real item?! So just watch out you are getting an SJCAM SJ4000 which is a replica of the GoPro, not a copy of the SJ4000...

This looks to be one of the genuine ones : New Original Genuine SJCAM SJ4000 1080P 12MP Waterproof Sport Action Camera DVR

Ive had both got the go-pro to replace the sj4000 when they did update and it now wont turn on or do anything

go-pro is better IMO but u cant beat the SJ cam for price IMO

Only way to get a Genuine SJ Cam is to buy from SJ CAM themselves IMO as there is so many fake ones out there

That same for the go-pro as well

Kev.....

see the diff for yourself

My camera is badged Qumox, which is apparently a a genuine SJCAM re-branded. Very impressed with it, and a few quid cheaper than a SJCAM branded item

There is a lot of fake ones around these are rubbish.

As mentioned above there are some good copies but I've not seen one and I have 3 fakes and my Friend has one. I also have a real one which is as good as go pro.

More important is to get a really good memory card otherwise data doesn't write properly

Thanks

I've bought a Gitup Git2 camera although it hasn't arrived yet so can't comment on the product.

Reason I bought it over the SJ4000 was the Gitup has an extrnal microphone jack and has a gyro to remove "shake" from the video.

Thanks for the replys looks like I need to make sure I get the genuine item, as the fakes are not as good.
