Zetec on a trolley OEM ECU.

At the new year I made a resolution to get two engines running, V8 rebuilt and back on the chassis and one of my zetecs on a trolley.

Due to 12 hour nights and a weekend alcoholic addiction its the middle of July already and nothing has happened!

So today theres no booze and Ive spent a bit of time thinking about the zetec on a trolley using OEM Ford ECU and wiring. All bigwasa's fault this is...

Cut some 2" box for the frame and made a little wood jig to get it welded up square (ish)

I gutted an MTX75 a while ago and will be using this as the rear mount for the engine. Retains the standard starter motor location to keep it simple. Ive added some mounts and these will be welded to the frame.

Ive got 3 of these clogging the place up so one of the 2.0 litre ones will be stripped of all the fwd stuff to go on the trolley.

I have been gathering some other bits and have a polo radiator, a couple of Ford ecu's with a whole engine loom attached. Two 2L zetecs with wiring and everything form under the bonnet of a Mondeo and a Cougar right down to driveshafts..

I'm searching for inspiration to get things moving again, think Ive spent far too long on this!

Steve

Welded the trolley up....

Plonked the engine on it..

Welded the gearbox bits on then knelt on it

And they pulled in about 10mm so the gearbox mounts are too far in!! Big hammer and a big drill next time..

St170, I've bought a few lemons. I hope this is a peach as it's only done 49k. I've bought loads from him before but he is normally to far away to collect.
