Locost parts chassis etc...

With a heavy heart I have decided to sell of my kitcar, the project has sat gathering dust for to long to many projects time to clear out and focus on the stockrod racing, plus work has dried up with the current global crisis.

I will add pictures tomorrow when i go to garage.

Parts include

Rolling locost chassis this was not built by me but has been built to a good standard. the chassis has been a fully built car at some point and driven (not sure if it was track or road) no chassis numbers stamped. Sitting on fiesta rims to keep it rolling

The Rolling chassis has a english axle with a LSD 4.11 diff, shortened maxi handbrake cables going to a mk1 mini handbrake.
Front end is cortina hubs with vented discs(as new only surface rust) and calipers. mk2 Escort steering rack, sierra column with key.

Brand new Propshaft from Driveline test fitted but never had power through it.

Type 9 gearbox painted off white brand escort gearbox mount.

Smiths clocks, Speedo, Water temp, Fuel level, Voltage (used but working)

Omp floor mounted pedal box cable clutch Bias brakes, brand new clutch cable and 2 brake master cylinders.

Nose cone in primer.

chassis has alloy side panels and rear panel these have been riveted on externally, scuttle panel is there but quite cut up and would be better if replaced. Bonnet is alloy and would benefit from been replaced as the car has had webber side drafts and downdraft so multiple holes.
2 Black vinyl seats

Black 4 point harnesses

Mountney steering wheel

Wide rear arches (need repair)

7inch Headlights

Caterham style tailights.

1.8 Blacktop zetec

I am willing to sell as complete project or happy to sell parts seperately

The back story is I a bought a project seven style kit which had been of the road for many many years however the more I dug in to it I realised how badly built the chassis was so i purchased the locost chassis as it was far better built/condition, and used the original car to donate the LSD coilovers gearbox switch gear etc...... The original chassis has since been cut up and scrapped as it should of never been on the road However I still have the V5c (number plate/vin plate) in my name and sorn, description been kitcar built from various parts.

Will accept all sensible offers either for complete project or parts

Based in Tyne and Wear

Sorry to see you've decided to pull the plug, but understandable. Just to let you know - I would have thought your final sentence re: the v5 will attract a few criticisms on here.

It has not been a easy choice to make but needs must, sometimes sacrifices have to be made, can aways buy another car in the future.

I believe it was posted here many times that one could legally buy a mini or MGB chassis and transfer everything over to the new chassis and retain the registration.
