Don't know about that gearbox, but I had some gearbox selection issues early on which turned out to be the clutch just faintly dragging. Not even enough to turn the wheels when up on jacks, but just enough to make it very hard to get a gear. A smaller bore master cylinder fixed it by just increasing the clutch fork travel at the gearbox.

Dunno if that helps, but it's all I got

So it's a remote selector. When you say you can't get 2nd, does it feel like you're in the right place but there's no drive? Does the stick go to the right place but fails to 'find' 2nd? Or does it feel like you're stirring a pudding and there's nothing there?
Have you checked the linkage? There is the stabiliser bar and the rod. The rod has a big chunky coupling with a pair of roll pins in. If any of these are sloppy, you'll have trouble finding all the gears.

Won't even move to 2nd, like feels as though there's something stopping it from going in at all, first you have to be forceful with but it does go in. The cars not running yet so I'm not sure if the wheels turn at all
