evo.rocks - 19/5/10 at 06:08 PM

Does anybody on here have a copy of autocad and the serial that will work on windows 7 or vista??

I am desperate for a copy as i have an assignment due in for next thursday for CAD and i am way behind - i have been given a copy but it will not run on any of the 2 O/S.

I am happy to pay the postage cost for the disc if anyone has it

thanks

I've got 2000 (aka: R15), just about to find out if that works......

Even 2008 doens't work.

If you have windows 7 (professional or higher) then use xp mode. That's what I had to do

2000 won't even install on my x64 bit system

Autocad, yay Quickly jump to solids!

Anyway, have you tried the academic program autodesk has? IIRC I was able to download a student version from their website. (Allthough I was attending an us college at the time)

If you can get solidworks to work, then you can do your drawing, then 'make drawing from part', then make sure it is at 1:1 scale, save as, dxf, then click options and make sure 1:1 scale is enabled again.

That'll work for autocad packages or anything that needs to read an autocad file.

That's how I did the drawings for my dry sump, as the machine only read autocad

why dont you just download the trial of 2010?? can use that for a month for free .........

or try enabling compatability for windows xp by right clicking on the shortcut, click the compatability tab then click the combo box for "run this program in compatability mode for:" in the drop down menu choose windows xp.
Ive got cad 2006 R14 running on vista this way.

You need the 64bit version of Acad if your running a 64 bit OS, no other version will install (It is available on utorrent - allegedly )
