never mind....one day when you done all your universaty doings ....it will come...it s the best edacation in thw rold....my last tax bill seen to that....old spanners are the best

Stu16v - 8/12/02 at 11:26 PM

Yep, you cannae beat an old assortment of tools.
This way you dont feel guilty 'modifying' them for that awkward to reach fastener, or slipping a huuuggge bar over them for a little extra leverage....

Hammer, cold chisel, Mole grips, hacksaw and big file - Surely the only tools any chap requires.

I've heard of your fancy spanners, sockets etc - Take no notice - just marketing gimmicks to help you part with your hard earned cash.

Teng tool are bloody good value for money, £200 you wouldn't get much Snap- on stuff for that,

gjn200 - 9/12/02 at 11:18 PM

Looked at snap-on and facom, but I could not see where the extra money was going too, and besides they dont have a big devil on ther boxes

Viper - 10/12/02 at 12:51 AM

when you use snap-on you feel the difference but is it realy worth the extra money? probably not but they do some trick specialist bits.

But you've already got a cold chisel! I must admit I,ve only got the hacksaw beacuse I can't resist a new gadget, but it's not really much use for hitting things with.

Bob da builder - 10/12/02 at 07:03 PM
