Nice outfit, are you a wildlife keeper Derf?

I'm "working" for the city council in the study/devellopement road department for the last 30 years and getting more and more fed up with so called "safety guide lines".
Pedestrians, bicycles and public transport play a major role and if there is some room left than perhaps one lane can be squeezed in for the "poluting car owner".
Oh well... it's allways "fun" to see a forecasted traffic jam, drafted on paper, turns out to be real traffic jam when the "improvement" is done

Two jobs.

Main job: 3rd line network/server support for major IT out-sourcing company. Primary customer is a large mobile phone manufacturer.
Part-time job: gearbox work for F1 team.

Derf, are you a paintball marshall???

There was a poll done awhile ago (I think posted by AlanB) about what jobs people do- if you're interested!

I work as a consultant/programmer for a small IT consultancy specialising in accounts software and associated shenanigans.
I'm currently sat in Unipart's HQ in Oxford looking at hundreds and hundreds of minis out of the window.

I'm a sales droid for an industrial plastics and rubber company. We make tooling for the auto industry. Real love is photography, freelanced for the national newspapers and magazines here in Canada for about ten years (still do a bit) but the market dropped out after 9/11.

I say Derf is a specialty gardener .

Cheers, Ted

Alan - I thought that you were a self employed boyo?

Dover Coporation nearly bought the co I work for 4 years ago. Life would have been better if they had. Seemed like a professional bunch - we had 5 prospective buyers - dover were the only ones that did a presentaion to us about themselves - the others just wanted to listen.

we were told that their philosphy was simple - make 10% gross each year, or your out.

answer about obscures...

could well be!

However, I have produced sysrtems from scratch in a lot less time than I have this friggin beasie.

Im just about to trim the interior - want a break from glassing and bashin metal - then in a month im on the home strait finishing the grp bodywork - which will take rest of summer / fall I think.
