MK Indy part built (another whats it worth thread. Sorry)

Hi all,

Thinking of selling my MK Indy. Too busy with work and kids etc to finish. I already have another track toy that I quite enjoy upgrading. I also need the space (thinking of getting a CNC router )

Spec is:
MK Indy deluxe kit
As new 1.8 lotus elise k-series removed by lotus at 0 miles from my elise
Caterham bellhousing
Caterham shortened sump
Elise seat (as new removed from elise to fit track seats)
new caterham axial starter motor
new caterham brake master cylinder
Lotus elise brake calipers with custom adaptors
mondeo vented discs
sierra rear discs
recon sierra rear calipers
MK rollcage
bodywork in ral 1016 (the human eye registers this colour quickest, safety first!)
shortened elise fuel tank
elise fuel sender
elise stack instrument cluster
caterham exhaust manifold 4:1
stainless exhaust pipes, one version for cat one version straight though with carbon car silencer on end
new shroth harnesses
new headlights
new front indicators
rear lights yamaha R1 with built in indicators
fog and reverse lights from pug 206 (not fitted)
stainless brake pipes
copper fuel lines fitted
silicon hoses for cooling system
new OZ supperleggera wheels in dark silver with toyo t1-s tyres
new locking aluminium fuel cap
new mesh for front grill (not fitted)
horn
other bits and bobs that I can't think of at the mo.

Don't really want to let it go, but have to be realistic. So looking for sensible offers and valuations.

Cheers.
Steve.

forgot to add:

needs wiring up! which is why I have given up on it, I have a lotus elise wiring loom with all the right connectors for the ecu, clocks etc etc
also new bonnet catches included
all MK interior panels
no dashboard, but these are cheap enough in grp.
small grp aeroscreen
black grp MK front cycle wings

kids are both under 3 so bit young to help out......could wait for them to grow but they are girls so probably wont be interested anyway.

Did you buy a new Elise and immediately do an engine swap on it in order to track it? That seems a rather non-locost way of doing it?

Yes

it's an elise sport 190, and lotus couldn't sell them to the public directly so you had to buy a standard elise and then let lotus motorsport do it's thing, you get the original engine, seats etc back in a box.

Its probably worth more in parts which is a shame... I would say looking at part builts that your only going to get 4k or so for it... Compared to maybe 8k+ built... Might be worth paying someone to finish it if you cant...

Looks a stunning car.. i'll have it if you just want to part with it temporarily until you realise that you want to finish it

not really a lack of motivation, more that I need the space and I have a car that does a similar job to the indy, so dont really need the duplication.

ther will of course be a pang on regret if I do indeed strike a deal with someone and she goes.
