USA Postage

Looking through e-bay this evening saw some items I might be interested until you see they are from the States, has anyone really paid £28.40 p&p for a £15.00 item, depends how bad you want it I suppose but it just seems crazy.

If they use the Pitney Bowes service which takes care of import duties the postage does get high, it alse seems irrelevant whether its above the duty rate or not.

I wanted some 4x4 trailing arms.. £140 with $210 shipping.... not impressed...

Bought a turbo from memphis tenesee with free shipping and took a day and a half to arrive... Impressed!

Bought some lego from China... took 48 hours to come, bought some more from the same seller and now 6 weeks later I'm still waiting!

Kinugawa adjustable wastegate 3 days from taiwan no import duties result I've found that a lot of times once you factor in shipping and import duties, bringing kit in from the states doesn't work out any cheaper. I needed some forged zetec pistons, once all the known duties plus the charge what they like handling fees were taken into account it was cheaper to buy them from TTS
