Alloy fuel tanks

Was thinking about making alloy fuel tanks again

What sort of price would it be for 5 to 6 gallon tank, baffled, with a sump, return and breather plus fuel level sender?

If it didn't have a sump but an in tank mounted pump and ally flange to clamp the pump what would that do to the price instead?

(Was idly wondering about a tank change today)

I could well be interested in one. I have a tank that I am intending to use but I am not sure how well it is going to fit until I get the car home in a couple weeks. If it turns out it doesnt fit how I want I will be in touch.

Hi I need a tank for my build
I’ try and message you a picture / sketch
But 835 long , 200 wide and 175 high, baffled , with a sump dia ? , 8 mm breather in front left top, 8mm return in front top right, 8 mm feed from front of sump, 50mm dia fuel filler rear right top and a 50mm hole for fuel sender dead centre in top
Could you give me a cost and once done would you be able to send?

Hi all.
I used the search function and went back two years without finding exactly what I wa looking for,
I am kind of hijacking this thread to keep it topic related.
I am buildiing a +442E (I think)with a 5.0 V8 engine.
Taking advantage of Lockup, I am working on my fuel tank, it is a sixty something liter alloy tank built fromwhat I had available, 3 mm checkered ali plate.
I have decided upon most of their features now, but I got to the sump.
I am deadset on using a sump, I had the size figured out to have a 1 lt sump but I c0cked up the measurments (Doh...! I skipped the CAD... and my sump came in at 650 mililiters, where I wanted 1 liter. I will be using a Low pressure pump to feed a 1 lt (I think it looks like a 1.5 lt) swwirl pot to feed a high pressure pump.

Questions
- Would 650 ml would be OK for this setup?
- Should I go for 1 lt tank sump?
- I have a chassis member that won´t let the hose pass straight to the location where the Low Pressure Pump will fit so I have two choices, make a hole in such member and weld in a piece of tubing for the hose to pass through, or run an internal pipe from the bottom of the sump to the side of the tank next to the Low pressure pump?
- Or do I forget about all the hassle and ditch the Low Pressure Pump and swirl pot and use only the High pressure pump feeding from the Tank Sump. Drawback to this is that I´ll have High pressure fuel running all the way through the transmission tunnel

For tank fittings, I am using turned bits of 12 mm ali plate that will be drilled and tapped appropriately.

Hi the smaller sump is fine for feeding the swirl pot as the larger sump would stop fuel starvation in corners and the swirl pot will do this.
Ref the out let are you able to move the outlet on the sump or the pump location rather than put a hole in the crossmember? It would be far simpler to cap the outlet and weld a new one in a place to avoid the crossmember, the internal feed would indeed be a tidier option.
