Auto mini

Hi guys,

Does anyone know what differences there are with an auto mini? Not the gearbox, I'll be binning that, I mean in regards to a RWD BEC conversion.

Cheers,

Not started yet.

I'm in a difficult situation though, the Avon is in the garage so I'm going to have to do this one on the drive!

Therefore I need to find something almost ready to go (apart from bike engine), i.e. minimal welding etc.

Looks like you've got a lot of work ahead of you, whats the shell like?

Shell is in good condition, floor in boot is shot at because of fiberglass boot lid not sealing but not an issue. Full FIA roll cage, 4 pot AP racing calipers and vented discs up front, spax adjustable shocks, flip front wings and a fiberglass removable bonet. 1971 with V5 doc's.

Not bad, just the prep work for painting is going to be a pain. But all part of the fun.

If you hear of any bargains suitable for my build let me know, I'm struggling to find anything...

will do, what are you short of. Going to look around for a couple of doors. Will keep you informed of the build to if you want. Think it will come to a sudden stop though soon. FUNDS running out quickly.

Probably doesn't matter know, but IIRC the only difference between auto and manual mini is the front subframe.

The auto one has a larger space some where in it to allow for the larger engine/gearbox assembly.

Seem to remember the shell was the same but obviosly no clutch pedal and a bigger brake pedal , also the front subframe may be slightly different none of which should cause major headaches.

Good points! Forgot about that, is it possible to change the pedals/pedal box?

Cheers
