Are you sure? It is a long time ago, but i am sure that when I measured the height of the Pinto in my mates car (with slightly modified sump) it came to approx 24" from sump to rocker cover.........

Just measured my 2.0 EFI Pinto and sump to rocker is 605mm (23.8").

Is it possible that your 1.6 pinto is shorter than the 2.0? Maybe...?

Cheers,

James

I measured a CVH today at work, It is 32" from cam cover(inc filler) to the floor and 7" of ground clearance under the sump making it 25"

Hope it helps

Thanks folks, I had assumed that the CVH was lower, so thats plans A out the window. It may have to be back to looking for a X flow to keep the height down.
