Hello Everybody. Got an opportunity to buy complete TB + Manifold + bits conversion kit. I reckon that there'll have to be some changes further back down the car, before fitting this kit.

1: Fuel pump. Is there a suitable fuel injection pump recommended? I already have a Facet; might be a silvertop version. Or should I go for an in-tank pump?

2: Fuel line: existing (low press) fuel pipe is 10mm copper, with flex hose in appropriate places. Will I have to replace this?

£: Anything I've missed?

Your advice will be very welcome, especially from those who have done it before.

You may need a swirl pot fed by the Facet pump which gravity feeds a high pressure pump connected to your existing fuel pipe to the fuel rail . Depending on your TBs you may need a fuel return . Obviously you will need an ECU and sensors etc .

Pretty much the only thing you can re-use is the manifold and the main fuel line.

You will need as a minimum for road use - high pressure fuel pump (I have used Astra get/cavalier ones in the past but manu in line ones on eBay), high pressure fuel filter if you want one between the pump and the fuel rail as well as one before the pump, fuel return line back to the tank (assuming you do not using a swirl pot), an injection Ecu (emerald, mega squirt, omex 600, me221 etc.), you will then need throttle position sensor with the tbs, a water and air temp and if your car does not have one a crank position sensor (normally on the fly wheel but can be added to the main front pully). I have probably missed something and this assumes you don’t have vct/vtech/vvti etc. A wide and lambda would also be helpful.

So, not the simplest of jobs and all in I recon bought new it is a £2k job which will then need rolling road session to get the best from it.

You could perhaps modify your fuel tank so it has a sump that an in tank pump sits? , that way you don’t need a swirl pot . The Zetec may already have a coolant temperature sensor, air intake temperature sensor could fit in your air box/filter housing
