Zetec with no engine number?!?!
ed_crouch - 10/11/03 at 08:55 AM

I might be getting a zetec motor with no engine number, stolen recovered from the Met Pol. Only trouble is, it doesnt have an engine number, does this mean that (by default) at SVA, its gonna be required to meet the post 95 emission spec??

Thanks,

Ed.

what you could do (not that I suggest it in any way). Is to find a scrap engine or a car in the scrap yard with a knackered zetec. Note codes below. Then stamp that number in the appropriate place on the engine and get a letter from the Ford Technical dept to confirm the age.
