Group buy for English & Atlas LSD's

Apologies for the duplicate post, but it's just been pointed out to me that you can only see this if you are a contributor, which wasn't the intention. Also if anyone would like to share this on Haynes or any of the Old School Ford forums then please do, gives more chance of getting the reuired no.'s together!

Looking at a possible group buy of the Blackline LSD’s for English or Atlas axles. If I can get a few orders for these, then I could do the English diff for £349.95, & the Atlas unit for £384.95, (+P & P in both case, but including VAT) in both cases that's about £40 less than Rally Design have these at, they are the Professional Traction Blackline units – you’ll pay around £600 for a Quaife, so I feel these represent something of a bargain if you have a live axle car!

There was some discussion about these back before Xmas:_

Link to original discussion

& to later thread

but I felt a group buy proposal was probably not the greatest idea on top of Xmas!!

A couple of people did come back to me about a group buy, so I thought I’d see if we can get one together. I no longer run Furore Products/Cars myself, (I still do the cars), but have connections there as it’s run by my daughter & her partner, any Paypal or card payments would go through Furore so you can have a proper invoice & a VAT invoice if required. I requested further info from the supplier re power handling, warranty & country of manufacture – first I will say upfront these are from China, if that’s a negative for you, then they carry a 12month RTB warranty. With regard to power handling capability, they don’t have a limit to capacity as such providing they are fitted in a standard Atlas or English diff casing, in other words if the rest of the axle will take it then so will the diff – obviously they are not covered against such abuse as being run dry of oil etc.!

I’m actually away on hols for a week from 4th to 11th Mar, but that gives a week or so to get any orders together. I should be available by email whilst away russbost at googlemail dot com or u2u me.

Outside of the above dates, by all means give me a ring if you want to discuss 07914 258651 or talk to Oliver at Furore Products, info@furoreproducts.co.uk or furoreproducts@hotmail.com

If it looks like we have viable no.’s for the group buy to go ahead we will need £100 deposit, but stock is readily available at the supplier, so should be able to get these out quite quickly

As per previous email I would be interested in an English 22T version.

Blackline Info

Hi,
I've never heard about blackline LSD's before but have been considering a Quaife for my road going car.
From what I can gather the Blackline is very similar in operation, is this correct?
Is there anything else I should know before I commit to an order?

Thanks

Carl

Correct, black line as far as I can see works similar to Torsen and quaife atb. So anything about operation of the quaif also applies to the black line. E.g. One wheel in the air etc.

Ashcroft do something that look very much like the black line (and at a similar price?), there are a couple of reviews on line for these diff in lanrivers and mx5.

Interesting article here on putting an Ashcroft atb in an mx5.

https://bofiracing.co.uk/blog/how-to-convert-your-open-diff-to-an-lsd/

Thread here started by Ashcroft asking about mx5 diff, looks like he went ahead.

http://www.mx5nutz.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=102482

Also have look on here about Land Rover duffs, Ashcroft is about half way down.

Hope this helps.

Ok, I now have enough orders to go ahead, so this is "Last Call" for any additions.

If going ahead then I will need £100 deposit within the next week or so & delivery should be ready to go out to you within a week of deposits

Preferred payment will be bank transfer, but can do debit/credit card if required
