Audi vr6 engine question

Hello all
I have an Audi 3.2 v6 runs really well noticed the other day when it is ticking over it is quiet and smooth, take the oil filler cap of and it runs abit lumpy, put it back on and its fine. is this normal or a pcv issue ?

thanks

Basically when you remove the oil filler cap you introduce a massive intake air leak causing the running problems .

It could be a PCV fault, try googling it.
How difficult is it to get too. I replaced mine last year and because it was below the supercharger it was a RPITA.
