Type 9 Speedo Drive Cog!

After pulling my 2.0l tran-x type 9 box apart i've found that the speedo drive cog that it supposed to be a snug fit on the output shaft was rolling about up and down it! I'm not sure if the inside of the cog diameter is worn or the section of the output shaft where it sits is worn.

It never read right anyway when it was in (v6 sierra with non lsd rear diff) - but i put that down to it being a rally box that would of seen live rear axles and not the sierra diff.

The cog thats on it has 9T stamped on it.

I went into my local ford dealer and had a look on the computer to see that it shows a 6 tooth and an 7 tooth variety depending on the model (may of been 7 or 8)

Anybody got a spare one of these knocking about i could buy off them as its gonna be £13+vat from ford otherwise!

Plus if it might be the shaft and not the cog anyway so i'd rather not spend out if i don't have to!

Cheer
