Which Type 9 Gearbox Mount

Need to get a new type 9 gearbox mount for the tiger avon. It will be a pure track car, and linked to a blacktop producing circa 170bhp - although in future may push up to 200bhp.

Should I get the standard mount (about £28) from somewhere like GBS?

Do I get the Westfield one?

Or do I get something like this?
Kit Car Ford Type 9 Gearbox Mount Vibra Technics (95mm bolt) Comp FOR168MX

my fury has the top version fitted, it came in 2 flavours - standard and HD, having just broken a standard I bought a HD one, it was something like £15 from a trade counter place in Aberdeen,...

IIRC I got a new HD one from my local Ford dealer. Less than £20 and the box didn't move once installed either.

here's the sizes:

Sierra type

Cortina type

the Cortina one (also caterham, westfiels etc...) is much stiffer, but also narrower and a a little taller too (ie more height difference between the centre and the sides)

of course you can use either, but if your chassis already has brackets for one type then it will need some mods to suit the other

Looking at the above photo, I used the narrower one. Maybe not from a Ford dealer but either way less than £20.
