Fitting Westfield Exhaust

Anybody here fitted a Westfield exhaust? Have tried setting mine up, to Zetec motor, but it fouls the solenoid on the starter motor. So how do Westies avoid this problem? Which starter do they use? Am looking at possibility of using starter with solenoid hanging underneath.

Work-in-Progress: Changed to Zetec + T9. Still trying!!

Mine's nowhere near the solenoid? Well not close enough to worry about the heat anyway.

Git any pics?

Pretty sure mines an lr707 mated to a type 9. Will see if I can find a pic from my build. I'd offer to take one but exhaust is off now as engine is out tomorrow ready for new one going in.

This is mine, best shots I could find.

Disk is using an xflow not a zetec!

I had to get 3 spacers made up to go between the head and the manifold face - with 2 gaskets each and cap head bolts instead of studs and nuts.

Right, just a few things. First, thanks Kingster996 for your photo links. Your starter motor looks very neat. What make is it?

Second - I cannot upload any of today's pics, even after re-sizing the images right down.

Third - I cannot open Dropbox on my PC; it just sits and sulks at me!!

Still working on a means to share these pics. Which format is best - jpg, png or giff?
