Identify Fireblade part?

Picture of the fireblade 919 in my Indy. What is the sensor on the long hex bar with the blue connector on the end? Any idea why the hex bar is so long?

I'd guess oil temp or similar.

I expect the hex bar is that long as there isn't enough clearance to do the sender up when it is flush with the hole in the casing.

IIRC, THIS IS THE OIL PRESSURE SWITCH
OFTEN EXTENDED TO ADD AN OIL TEMP SENSOR/ gauge/ t piece.
Yours look to be back to stud pressure switch, albeit on a stalk
