Audi V8 BAT code torque converter removal

Folks,

Need to remove the torque converter from my 2005 Audi A6 (C6) V8 engine and there is no obvious methods (not that I can see anyway).

So, are any of you familiar with this engine and do you have any suggestions? I know that some engines are supposed to have access via a "peephole" from front of engine but I can't see one. Maybe behind starter?

Cheers

just had a look on fleabay, looks like the only way in is by removing the starter, 3 bolts hold converter to flex plate.

Yep, had to do the same on mine - 3 bolts holding the converter to the flex plate.
