Normally the filter goes after the pump.... so your guess looks right. To be honest I'd just fit it- if it's the wrong way round just swap the pipes over

Normally having the pump above the tank isn't a problem.....

I think you have it right in your pic but doesn't it say on the top of the pump where the pipes come out? Its probably not the same but the zx6 one i've just bought does.

Hi there

I think the pump should be marked for the outlet 'o' or 'i' for inlet next to one of the pipes.

Cheers

The filter is on the line from the tank

and the 'T' goes to the carbs, one feed to each pair

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

Think the pipe you have marked as outlet is in fact the inlet looking at the way the fuel filter is fitted. May be worth checking for an arrow on the filter?

I am guessing that the pipe with filter does actually come from the tank as its only 8 inchs or so, whereas the other pipes with the t piece have been cut.

Also I guess you would want to filter crap out before sending it into the pump.

At the end of the day you are correct its only a matter of switching the pipes around if its wrong.

Thanks all for your help.
