I am told a Nissan Micro assemble fits perfectly, however the bottom hose can be tight on the rack. How about one from MK (mksportscars.co.uk)

(Rad £105.00 - Fan £48.00) they are designed for the job.

Get an ESCORT MK2 Rad

Boston Rads are cool

They did an upgraded Escort Mk2 rad for me at around £80.00

Not sure why your polo rad doesnt fit, everyone else seems to get the polo rad in the locosts or MK indys.

Are you sure its the 1984 on 1.05 polo rad you have ?

Have a look in my archive for reference.

Yep, that's what i've been using. Just upgraded to a mk3 golf 1.4l it's a bit bigger-but twice as thick so should be better for my new engine
Oh yeah £38+vat brand new from gsf carparts

If it doesn't fit MODIFY it!!
