Alternative nose cone on an MK
flanders - 16/11/17 at 08:31 AM

I would really like to change the nosecone on my indy to something a bit more 'aggressive'

Does anyone know if any other bands nose's will fit on the MK chassis without too much fabrication?

I like the styling of the MNR Vortex and the Mac1 & GBS Zero both have a nice lip extension on the bottom

MNR probably wont sell you one, from speaking to them about that type of thing before they are very protective about who they sell things like that to so people can’t do what you intend to do.

I imagine though that most modern sevens nosecones would fit fairly easily.

Yeah I wondered about that myself. Most manufacturers sell parts directly from Their Site except MNR. I had a similar issue buying bmw m3 CSL parts a few
Years back, I’m sure all I’ll need is to quote a chassis number or similar to order bits

I see no problem...
Just post in the Wanted section and something will come up fairly quickly...
HTH...

You're probably better off modifying the MK one?

Here you go,

http://www.haselier.nl

I had one given to me by Haselier on a visit to Mk a few years ago, I never fitted it, but sold it on, but they still supply them I believe .

Best alternative nose cone IMO

PAUL FISHER - 17/11/17 at 07:07 PM

Yes that is the same one I sold on here, only available through Haselier NL.

Agreed lads, that nose cone looks great, up there with the MNR.

Ill try and contact them and see what the deal is.

I’ve managed to source not one but two, MNR nose cones

I’ll check them For fitment this weekend

watching this with interest!

was only the other day thinking about this myself after seeing a post on facebook with a car that had one of the Haselier nosecones fitted.

Is it just me, but I think the MNR nose cone looks a bit too Flash Gordon in my view!

Much prefer the MK nose cone - stick some mesh in it or a front diffuser/lip and it'll look great :-)

It's just you

flanders - 24/11/17 at 08:48 AM

i know what you mean but one of the cones ive got dosnt have the bulky lateral grille bars, just 2 meshed holes, its looks spot on!

CosKev3 - 24/11/17 at 08:51 AM

Yeah I was going to say remove the slats and mesh it
Where did you find two of them?

flanders - 24/11/17 at 08:55 AM

In the rafters of a mates workshop, purely by chance

CosKev3 - 24/11/17 at 08:59 AM

Ah right.

Fingers crossed it lines up for you.

How's the height where it meets the bonnet?
