Insurance costs

Just wondering a rough idea of insurance prices for a kit car

I know it probably varies a lot depending on vehicle type and specifications but would anyone care to share as an idea of prices please?

For the record I will be 29~30 year old when my car hopefully will be complete

Tiger Avon cost me 101 when I was 30 6k value 1000 miles
Westfield cost me £124 a year in 3000 miles and 14k value.

Its less about specific spec and more about value. I got guaranteed valuation for my westfield as it had an expensive engine.

They ask if its modified which is irrelevant but its a yes to that question and the engine size and that's all I've been asked in past.

My car was 303hp zetec turbo engine.

I got a quote for a fury a few weeks ago at £96 quid if I added a tracker and retrieve which would cost 400 quid. Or 105 without. Obviously not worth the expense.

Thanks

Not actually insured mine for 18months but don't think I've paid more than £180 for my Striker(and my license ain't exactly a clean sheet, but I'm over 35)
I generally say 10k value, 270bhp to be safe and 5-6k miles. Generally have around 4 named drivers on it too. As always you need to shop around, they differ dramatically.

I'm a bit older at 52 and have an agreed value of £5500 [that might be a bit low now] and mine costs £88 per year on a 2.0 MK Indy.
