Cleaning aluminium
There was a recent thread about this, but nothing comes up on the search function, and I have trawled back through the last few months in likely
categories on here to no avail (unless I am being stupid and missed it)
Anyway, what was the upshot of the best cleaner? I have some carbs/manifold that I would like to get looking clean after a good degrease. Not at all
keen on anything containing hydrofluoric acid, but somebody mentioned a "cherry" cleaner. Google throws up MANY cherry cleaners... which one
is the "good one"

There's a difference between cleaning alloys and cleaning aluminium. I recommended a non-acidic cleaner for alloys, but they're
painted/coated and the cleaning process is different. Cleaning aluminium is a whole different kettle of fish, and the only reliable method I've
found is mechanical - the white powder corrosion is chemically very inert.

I've made a brief reply on the other thread, still not tested properly as yet
I no longer run Furore Products or Furore Cars Ltd, but would still highly recommend them for Acewell dashes, projector headlights, dominator

Yo do not say whay tipe of finish you want to achieve.
Have you considered Soda blasting?
I am sure there´s a thread on it here, pretty locost, and harmless..
I would ting a very good rinse is all is needed as I think soda will eat aluminium in the presence of moisture.
