If it helps anyone to make their decision on if and when to travel to Newark. I'll post regular(ish) weather details here over the weekend.
At the moment. Sunny and mostly blue skies and 15degs....
John

He lives there, Mr observant.
Cheers
Chris

Joel ya tosser.
I work in Newark and the weather this afternoon was shite. Dark and rainfilled sky.
then i guess you wont see me on the morrow...
not that i wanted to see you anyway
It'll be as good tomorrow as it's likely to get.
Get your arse there slack bandit.
its all down to alan, as he's driving. but we can hope! be nice to meet some new faces, and even some old ones...

Who asked you Jethro?
Does that mean I'm Denzil?
It looks that way.
By the way what IS his surname?
It always sounds like:
Vemberthy (that's spelled phonetically, if that word is even spelled correctly)
that would be fonetically, spelt phonetically...
That would be JoelP, spelt Dildo.
now you know what they're all modelled on. my head.
I know Jethro (Jeff Rowe - real name), my next door neighbour was married to his brother, and his other brother is my chimney sweep! he used to do the
pubs and clubs in west cornwall, when he is home he sometimes does a special for landlord mates - very VERY dirty!! he also does local jokes which no
one east of Camborne would understand
PS. Its Denzil Penberthy

Mmmm.......Dinger.
well tweathers looking good now! yippee!
Clear skies here in Lincoln, 20 mins from the Newark Showground...
Gentlemen, start your engines.
Indeed
Clear skies over Newark, some fluffy white clouds but no sign of rain.
Still only 14degs. so wear your hats...
John
According to local radio....
"Some showers expected on the east coast and spreading more widely"
Not too sure what that means but it's still sunny here...
John
Just had a very brief but quite heavy shower.
Now sun is out again.
My guess is thats what an be expected today.
John
i swam home... not been that wet in quite some time! all good fun though. Cheers for the lift alan.
Whats expected for tomorrow?
I'm going anyway, but just wondered.
So is it worth going this year??
in my opinion, yes, lots of stalls and stuff to see. nothing incredible, but lots good and interesting. there was a ladder chassis with inboard brakes (AK sportscars?) that was interesting. plus a BEC gear shifter on the radical stand. and a single seater from edgesportscars.
Just got in and I can tell you that the weather in Newark is....dark
bedtime.....
hopefully see some of you tomorrow.
John
Well Chaps,
I'ts a bit miserable out there.
Full grey cloud cover, and there is a light drizzle. certainly not enough to get you wet while driving but enough to wet your seat when parked.
And only 11degrees.
John
Hi, John,
I,m still gonna go and as there is no word from the others I assume they are too.See you in a bit.
Me too,
Just waiting for the missus to do her hair....
John
I will be on my way shortley, if you want to say hi, i will be wearing a white stetson (should be easy to spot)
Well, dark, raining and f*cking cold all weekend - that's the last time I venture up-north with a tent ..... AND the weather forecast LIED - but hey, wots new.
How was the drive back Jasper.
Wet - dry - wet - dry
Got own to Sussex, and of course - the sun came out! Had a rather tail-happy time around the wet roundabouts on the A24........
