I'm looking at using Sierra running gear. I'll source an engine and maybe a gearbox elsewhere (Duratec and Type 9).
Can anybody point me in the direction of which Sierra donor car to look for so that I get an LSD diff and disk brakes on the rear?

any of the 4x4s should provide what you're after.
XR4x4 definitely so
not forgetting XR4 then you can use front uprights too!

So, can I assume that by virtue of being 4WD, any of the 4x4 Sierra's will have a limited slip rear diff?
Also, I've a couple more questions. Would I be too cheeky to start another couple of threads?
Yes the 4x4's all had LSD's
It's worth checking if you are buying a car that no one has swapped the diff for an open one!
not all that easy to do but the best test is probably that if you jack up the car and try to turn the rear wheels by hand then they should be really
stiff to turn.

Yeah! looks beautiful. Oh its gone - you already bought it? Just one thing worth mentioning - the 2 litre 4x4s all have 3.92 diffs wheras the rest
have 3.62 diffs. So better acceleration with the 3.92, probably without sacrificing top speed as a 4x4 v6 sierra will be geared for at least 150 mph
which you probably wont do cos of aerodynamics. Hmmm, with a duratec being a lot higher reving than the old cologne v6, you might actually be geared
that fast with a 3.92 anyway. So I reckon you should be looking for a 2 litre 4x4. Just my opinion of course.
