does the fuel cap need to be lockable with a key for sva
I'll probably be corrected - so dont qoute me!! - But I think the SVA manual says the fuel cap must be "secure".
Problem is - the SVA examiner may interpretate "secure" as being "lockable" - I think in truth it just means "secure" as
in it wont come loose.
Hopefully somone will tell you for definate shortly !! I could do with knowing for certain aswell before I part with my own money for one!! Don't
know about you, but the cheapest black one I've seen is about £80
No I believe the term in the SVA manual is 'secure' this is sometimes confused to mean that it needs to be lockable. But a screw cap etc should be fine, and lots of people have passed with a non-lockable screw cap.

Last week to ask just that question.
I was told, No it does not need to be locable, just secure .
Not that all centres will be the same of course
