Whats best to seal the foam? To stop glassfibre resing melting it?

cling film worked for me when I wanted to stop fibreglass from sticking to my panels, raid the kitchen cupboard.

ive used parceltape in the past.

give it a good waxing, comes off nicely

Or you can always use epoxy
Lighter too!!!

Downside is the cost

i'm taking a different approach... in the true locost spirit i'm doing the buck out of paper maché, then covering it with a hefty layer of plaster to even it out... drawback is that it's very labour intensive (took me a week to get to this stage). heres the initial stage of the nosecone...

after some comparison i still have to do some major modifications to it as the front aperture is too large, but it wont take long for results to appear.

Hi Guys

I've tried paking tape before, works ok but you can see the tape marks in the fibreglass. I've just tried painting an offcut in pva to see if it seals it
