welderman - 3/4/14 at 12:58 PM

Numbered up, need to sort out prices and description of parts. Sorry about the time scales here but I do have to do some work too. Just bare with me.

Ben_Copeland - 3/4/14 at 02:00 PM

Yellowcab will probably have most of it lol

scootz - 3/4/14 at 05:41 PM

Do you have anthing of mine that I could buy back at twice the price I sold it to you for, so that I can sell it on at half the price I bought it back for?

yellowcab - 3/4/14 at 05:46 PM

And once scootz has bought it back for twice the price that he sold it you for, and he advertises it at half the price he bought it back for, I'd like to buy it off him for half that price too

Deal?

scootz - 3/4/14 at 06:50 PM

Sounds like good business sense!

Done deal!

yellowcab - 3/4/14 at 06:56 PM

If I wrap myself in carbon, will I be lighter on the scales?

Steve Hignett - 3/4/14 at 07:10 PM

no I can't

Ben_Copeland - 4/4/14 at 07:20 AM

They are ok on computer, but can see them on my phone. Something to do with Photobucket and the way it displays on here.

welderman - 4/4/14 at 07:42 AM

All these panels fit caterham cars so i was told when i bought them, i got a job lot and used loads of panels on my procomp. This is what i have left. I still have no idea on prices but i paid just short of 8k for the whole lot of carbon parts. Been stored in my garage and were dusty, but no scratches that I can see.

If anyone on blatcht or any other fourms could point there way here that would be great.

Im still working out prices and starting to feel sick to what i paid !!.

Panel 1. = 830mm along the top, 890mm along the bottom, 255mm wide and has a 25mm return on the bottom edge.
Panel 2. = 805mm along the top, 870mm along the bottom, 255mm wide and has a 25mm return on the bottom edge.

Panel 3. = 370mm x 220mm
Panel 4. = tunnel top. 452mm long, 105 at narror part, 195 at widest and 65mm deep.

Panel 5. = internal side panel 760mm long, 180mm wide at shortest point and 200mm wide at the widest point.
Panel 6. = Tunnel top, 570mm long, 110 wide at one end and 185mm wide at other.

Panel 7. = 800mm along the top, 860mm along the bottom, 265mm wide, has a 25mm return on the bottom edge and 20mm return opposite to bottom edge on the top.
Panel 8. = 800mm along the top, 860mm along the bottom, 265mm wide, has a 25mm return on the bottom edge and 20mm return opposite to bottom edge on the top.

Panel 9. = Outside drivers side panel.
Panel 10. = Outside drivers side panel. Been sored in the garage has some sticky stuff stuck to it so may need polishing out.

welderman - 4/4/14 at 07:43 AM

will update soon, unless I hang them here on the office wall

welderman - 4/4/14 at 10:05 AM

Right, sorry for delay...

1, £75.00
2, £75.00
3, £25.00
4, £50.00
5, £30.00
6, £50.00
7, £35.00 sold
8, £35.00 sold
9, £215.00
10, £215.00

I am of course open to offers on some of the pieces and will accept an offer for the lot as a whole.

But I do remember from when I bought them some Brand new prices (and these are all Grade A pieces, not seconds etc.), for example, the two outer side panels were £485 Each!!! so over £900 for a pair of sides for a Caterham.

These are not your average, dull, normal Carbon, it is direct from RIF or as some people knew him and his company Richard in France and Carbon Bits, and has an excellent surface finish, so please bear that in mind if thinking of making an offer

These are New-Old-Stock, and have been well wrapped up and generally stored well, but with the odd mark etc...

Please get in touch via U2U if you want to make an offer, and I hope the photo's and dimensions answer most questions...

As above, if anyone has a logon to Blatchat, then I'd really appreciate someone putting a link up to the bits on there, feel free to copy and paste the prices or photo if people cannot see them on iPads/iPhones etc...
I know that most people on Blatchat remember RiF as he was a member himself, and quite a few Caterham owners have his carbon still.

Cheers,
Joe.

PS - I also have a small tub of his special "Black Magic" carbon polish that keeps the carbon in amazing condition and can even bring water/sun affected carbon back to life, even Caterham's own stuff which can get very dull can be recovered. Just the one 100ml bottle though, so I'll keep it for someone buying multiple items, unless someone makes me an offer. I bought two bottles of the stuff at the show when they were on offer and paid £20 for two (on offer!!!)

Cheers,
Joe.

It's not difficult to repair carbon fibre panels that are damaged...

U2U if you want some advice...

Dave Bailey - 23/6/14 at 01:03 PM

Steve it is a grp nose so I thought it was a great opportunity to tell the wife I might as well have a carbon one...
