can anyone tell me how i alter the rt dash 3 settings via the v8.5 analysis software through the dl1 logger? cant find the screen alteration page in the software! cheers

You'll have to download and open the dash program, its separate to the Analysis but will be in the full download of RT's website.

You can also set the analog sensors up in the analasis program if you want to see stuff like oil pressure round a lap. click data then variable manager, go down to the same varaiable as you've used on the logger, and either enter the formula, or fill out the values table.
