As a quick fix, will household copper pipes work on a car for coolant transfer pipes and bends, etc?
they will take the pressure and temp no probs.
As a quick fix?..... Copper plumbing is a permanent solution for most of our cooling systems.

THat's what I am using.
And I have seen a few other people do this.
If you don't want the copper look, you can even have it powder coated too......
Phil
if you use end feed fittings, it doesn't look quite so much like a central heating system i've found.
i still have a mix of solder ring and end feed though

MIne will have som copper pipe in it when i get round to re doing it. You can use chromed pipe and compression fittings if u want an expensive way would look bling
I didn't mean it as a quick fix, I meant a quick way of assembling the pipework. Love the powder coated look!
What pipe sizes are available? Can you get reducers and stuff?

if you really wanted you could spray paint it aluminium wheel colour. Personally I don't care how it looks as long as it works ok! I guess it might be marginally heavier than other options ie plastic/silicon tubing?
You can also have it zinc plated.
It comes out looking like chrome
plating.
