Show me your mountings

I've finally got round to upgrading my cooling system. I've bought the correct Polo rad but I'm struggling to make it fit. The biggest problem is the bottom hose position. In the 'best' location to fit within the nosecone, the hose wants to exit through the front chassis upright. The only way I can seem to make it work is to angle the rad forwards by about 75mm on the N/S so the rad is not square to the car. I'm also a bit stuck for 'nice' ideas on how to fix to the 5 mm blind holes in the rad. I've got a plan but I don't much like it.
How have you done it?

It's not beautiful but it works (elbows)

Tap hole to 6mm, be careful I think I went through one of mine near the top hose and put a nut and washer inside!

No leaks ,no problems...
