Sorry, just needed to share that.

2 years of sitting still and after fiddling with the carb floats, it fired up 1st time and idled nicely.

Rev it and what a beast.

Many thanks to Andrew Carwithen and Calvinx for pointing me in the right direction.

Been a long time coming!

Thanks to Chris Gamlin as well for supplying an engine that doesn't need anything doing to it.

No where's that bloody V5 and V627/1.

Only got the paddles and rods to bolt up and finding a way of connecting the clutch cable (mountain bike brake cable) to the MK pedal and then I can go up my drive!

Off to france in 4 days though!

Mk2 Escort clutch cable is what Westfield supply for the Megablade, might be worth investigating at a local factors to see if you can make one fit your pedal box.
