Looking good Alastair ...

very nice, though knowing these chassis I'm not sure what substantial part of the car your roll bar is actually mounted to...? but at least you have something

The front is stiffened by the bulkhead fabricated in 1" SQ tubing forming a box shape around the front, the rear is stiffened by the Roll bar mountings, there is a cross brace for racing, plus extra stifening in the floor supports. The general layout can be checked out at: http://austin7special.blogspot.com/2015/12/rear-bulkhead-and-flo or-supports.html

The measured all up weight was about 330Kg with estimated 40bhp giving about 120bhp/ton I guess.

Enjoyed that

Nice to see some 'Old School'

oh well at least it can be easily changed back for little money... roll bar still looks stronger than the chassis extensions

Ditto - good to see an "old school" project.

Old boss of mine restored an Austin Speedy, which I believe was based on an Austin 7. Again interesting to see something older being worked on and used.
