Chasis

As I want a bespoke chasis has anyone else before paid a fabricator to make their own chasis and at what cost?

Am not backing out of doing it myself however I am not that skilled a welding.

IMHO, the cost of getting a fabricator to do it for you would be insane...

Get yourself on a welding course, and in no time atall you will be a pro!

I did a short welding course and felt that i would mainly be happy ( after doing the course) tacking and welding the chassis but would probably get the welding instructor to do the wishbones

A year ago I was terrified of welding. After some practice, I made my own chassis. Welding is fun.

Call up Martin at MK engineering, sure he'd give a ballpark price.

I've bought a welder and I'm getting stuck in

welding is fun! i wouldn't recommend getting a fabricator to make the whole chassis in any case. unless you're really good at technical drawings, whoever makes the chassis for you often can't get your exact vision in their heads (i find anyway)

better to do the chassis yourself and at least tack it, even if you take it to be fully welded elsewhere
