Peter Cowley - 18/4/12 at 06:06 PM

Hi All,

Does anybody know this car that is up for sale on ebay at the moment....is it anybody on here ???

2004 KIT CAR MK INDY YELLOW 1.6 16V | eBay

Looks like a nice car and at the right money for being a toy....!

What sort of power will the motor be producing ??

Could be interested !!!

Jon Ison - 18/4/12 at 06:19 PM

Don't know the car but looks very tidy, worth a viewing for sure.

PAUL FISHER - 18/4/12 at 06:24 PM

Very cheap, if well set up I would think it will be putting out around 110/120bhp on bike carbs.

Peter Cowley - 18/4/12 at 06:26 PM

just done a bit of a search and it looks like it was owned by mediabloke on here a while ago.....

Could the 1.6 be swapped with a redtop easily I wonder ??

Looks a lovely tidy car.....

Bet it goes well with that engine in it to be honest. Looks like a lovely build and very keenly priced as well.

if you want one with a red top then buy one with a red top fitted, yes it will cost more to buy but you will get what you want

sonic - 18/4/12 at 08:25 PM

If you have the money snap his hand off!!, it is very well built and a really nice car, the engine was 130 bhp without the bike carb conversion, Steve at bogg brothers converted it for the guy who bought it off me. he told me recently it went like a rocket with the bike car conversion, one of the best results they had seen.

I sold it 5 years ago to a guy in Liverpool, I was the second owner and bought it off the guy who built it, the dashboard was one of four only ever made.

Wish i had the cash at the moment, it would be in my garage now!

Peter Cowley - 18/4/12 at 08:27 PM

hmm might be a trip up to hull in order then !

sonic - 18/4/12 at 08:30 PM

The hospitality in here is amazing !!

Its been a while since i had the westfield but need to scratch that itch again now i think......

Peter Cowley - 19/4/12 at 10:37 PM

Well locosters I am now the happy owner of Sonic's old Mk Indy

I'll have to say its a really tidy car, and goes really well.....I spoke to Bogg Bros today who reckoned it would be putting out about 140-150bhp after they fitted the bike carbs etc

Got to go collect it tomorrow night, can't wait

kipper - 20/4/12 at 04:43 PM

Well?????????????come on whats it like

sonic - 20/4/12 at 05:42 PM

Your a lucky man, look after it and have fun.

If you need any info I think I still have the number of the chap who built it.

Peter Cowley - 20/4/12 at 10:33 PM

Well I picked up the MK tonight after a long day at work, and only just got back in now.....but well worth it

The car performed faultlessly on the way back from Hull and didn't miss a beat (110 mile trip), the only thing my face is now numb !!

It is a v.quick car, and seems well screwed together....just need some time now to give it a good clean/detailing !!

I will be along to ask lots of questions again soon..

Thanks for all the kind comments guys, and sonic yes I may get the buildersguys number off you if thats OK.

Custardpants - 30/4/12 at 07:25 PM

Nice one!! Get some pictures up

Peter Cowley - 30/4/12 at 09:45 PM

OK, just need to work out how to do it (and need to give it a clean first) !!!

Peter Cowley - 6/5/12 at 06:27 PM

Ok here goes 3 shots of the car just after collecting....

Already remade the flyscreen slightly taller and tidied a few bits up !

Peter Cowley - 7/5/12 at 03:34 PM

Hi there mediabloke !.

I think you must have sold the car to Mark who I bought it off (he lived in Hull). Think he had only done 500 miles since he bought it !. Cracking car though, goes well and seems really reliable.

Will let you know if I am having a run out one sunday afternoon.

Cheers.

Peter.
