Hi all,

has anyone used these gear indicators? do they work well? is there any sensor on the 5PW that says what gear it is actually in?

Thanks in advance

Got a HealTech one, of which this looks like a copy. Works ok and easy enough to fit. Picks up neutral switch feed plus revs and speed. There's a programming procedure (going through the gears with the wheels off the ground) and it calculates gear from revs/speed.

Ace, thanks for the reply.

Due to the way they calculate the gear, they won't give you a true reading if you change gear when stopped (except for neutral) or when coasting up to a junction with the clutch in.

Ok, that's fine, just after something that gives me an idea as this bike shift style is going to get some getting used to.
